Season 1
EPISODE 1: "Pilot"
Filmed entirely in New York and based on the popular series of young-adult novels by Cecily von Ziegesar, "Gossip Girl" revolves around the privileged prep school teens on Manhattan's Upper East side and the anonymous blogger, Gossip Girl, who provides them with the latest rumors about their highly exclusive inner circle. In the series premiere, Gossip Girl is busy spreading the news that "it girl" Serena van der Woodsen has returned to Manhattan after a mysterious and self-imposed exile to boarding school. Serena's best friend, Blair Waldorf, has conflicted feelings about her friend's return since she has enjoyed being the Queen Bee during Serena's absence and might not be ready to relinquish her new position on the social ladder, not to mention the fact that she has always suspected there may be unspoken feelings between Serena and her longtime boyfriend, Nate Archibald.
EPISODE 2: "The Wild Brunch"
It's the day after the Kiss on the Lips party and Serena receives a cold reception from her former best friend, Blair, who finally knows the real reason Serena left for boarding school. Meanwhile, Serena and Dan make a date and Blair realizes that there may be something to gain by allowing Jenny into her elite inner circle.
EPISODE 3: "Poison Ivy"
It's Ivy week for the Upper East side teens of Constance Billiard and St. Judes and the visiting representatives arrival brings more than just college applications. Cutt-throat rivalry is at it's sharpest this week as the students compete for prestigious positions. Blair discovers a shocking but juicy secret about Serena and plots to drop the bomb at the best possible moment. Dan is sure that landing the coveted usher position with the Dartmouth rep will either make or break his future at the school. Unfortunately, it's Nate who nabs the position, despite total disinterest in the school. Meanwhile, Jenny gets close to Serena's younger brother Eric and Rufus asks Lily for a favor.
EPISODE 4: "Bad News Blair"
Blair gets excited when her mother chooses her to be the new face of her clothing line. However, Blair's happiness turns quickly into feelings of betrayal and jealousy when Serena takes her spotlight and Blair finds herself back in Serena's shadow. Meanwhile, Serena and Dan remember once again that they come from two very different worlds. Also, Nate and Chuck do a boys weekend to blow off steam after Ivy Week ends.
EPISODE 5: "Dare Devil"
It's their first official date and Dan tries to impress Serena with an elaborate plan for the date, but fails to understand that Serena is happier with beer than champagne. That same night Jenny is invited to the infamous Blair Waldorf sleepover and finds herself in a high stakes game of "Truth or Dare". Meanwhile, Lily finds out that Erik is missing from the treatment center, and she finds herself seeking help from her ex-boyfriend, Rufus.
EPISODE 6: "The Handmaiden's Tale"
Dan finds himself caught between two girls when his childhood friend, Vanessa, returns to Manhattan and declares her feelings for him, just as he and Serena are trying to figure out what they mean to each other. At the masked ball, Blair sends Nate on a scavenger hunt, but Nate is distracted by his feelings for Serena. Although Blair said that outsiders were not welcome to the party, a disguised Jenny and Dan sneak into the ball. Finally, Lily asks Rufus to accompany her to an Eleanor Waldorf event hoping to make Bart Bass jealous.
EPISODE 7: "Victor, Victrola"
Things are heating up between Serena and Dan. Serena and Dan finally accept that they are crazy about each other, despite that they come from polar opposite worlds. Chuck thinks of investing in a club trying to make his father Bart Bass proud of him. Nate confronts his father, about the drugs he found in his house but he denies having a problem. Jenny discovers a secret that her parents have been keeping from her. Finally, Blair is devastated by Nate's actions when Jenny reveals that Nate kissed her by accident thinking she was Serena.
EPISODE 8: "Seventeen Candles"
Blair is feeling heartbroken and guilty by the current state of her relationship with Nate and her recent indiscretion. But she manages to put on a happy face for her 17th birthday party and attempts to hide her feelings from her friends. Hoping that Serena and Vanessa can bond, Dan takes Vanessa to Blair's birthday party, but this ends up making Serena more uncomfortable. Jenny brings her mother home as a surprise, but Rufus isn't ready to forgive and forget. Finally, Nate's parents ask him to make a huge sacrifice to save his father's business as he faces charges of embezzlement and fraud.
EPISODE 9: "Blair Waldorf Must Pie!"
Dan invites Serena and her family to spend the holiday with his family, creating an uncomfortable situation for Rufus and Lily. The children are unaware of their complicated romantic past. Meanwhile, Blair's freaks out when she learns that her father isn't coming home for Thanksgiving. Nate spends the holiday with his family, but their awkward dinner quickly goes from bad to worse.
EPISODE 10: "Hi, Society"
Serena has no intention of attending the upcoming Debutante Ball, until her grandmother, CeCe, announces that she simply must go. Unfortunately, Dan isn't exactly who CeCe wants as an escort for Serena, and she makes her opinion heard loud and clear, causing a rift to form between Serena and Dan. Although they are officially broken up, Nate asks Blair to go to the ball with him. She accepts but only as friends. Then a jealous Nate begins to suspect that Blair is seeing someone else. Meanwhile, social climbing Jenny finds herself faced with the decision of either attending her mother's art opening or following her dreams to the Debutante Ball, even though her parents don't want her to go.
EPISODE 11: "Roman Holiday"
Blair's father, Harold, comes home for the holidays with an unexpected guest: his boyfriend, Roman. Blair cannot hide her disappointment and makes a plan to get rid of Roman forever. Jenny and Vanessa help Serena get the best Christmas present ever for Dan, who has a surprise of his own for Serena. Then when Chuck texts Blair that Nate is with him in Monaco, Blair worries that Chuck may tell Nate about their hook-up. Meanwhile, Rufus refuses to remain the understanding husband any longer after Alison's former lover calls the house.
EPISODE 12: "School Lies"
Serena, Blair, Nate, Chuck and the rest of their friends break into the school swimming pool for a night of fun, but when someone nearly dies, the school threatens to expel the person responsible for the break-in. Everyone agrees to keep silent, but this creates major problems between Serena and Dan, because Dan is not ready to take the fall for someone else and risk his future. While working on a documentary project about private schools, Vanessa accidentally captures Blair and Chuck discussing their affair. Meanwhile, Lily tries to tell Rufus how she really feels about him.
EPISODE 13: "The Thin Line Between Chuck and Nate"
Gossip Girl reports that Serena van der Woodsen was seen buying pregnancy tests. Of course, on the Upper East Side, the truth is often even juicier and more scandalous than the gossip. Nate finds out about Blair and Chuck's affair. And when everyone else finds out what happened Blair's life comes crashing down. Meanwhile, Dan struggles to tell Serena those three special words.
EPISODE 14: "The Blair Bitch Project"
Having been recently dethroned as Queen Bee, Blair returns to school with the support of her BFF, Serena to find she is still on the outs with her old friends. Dan visits his mother over Spring Break, and when he returns Jenny is on the verge of becoming a full-fledged member of the A-List crowd. Jenny must go to dangerous and even illegal lengths to fit in. Serena struggles to adjust to living with Chuck, and receives disturbing packages from an unknown sender.
EPISODE 15: "Desperately Seeking Serena"
Serena's world descends into chaos when a former friend, the evil Georgina Sparks returns to town. Dan sees Serena preoccupied and he assumes that it has something to do with Chuck, her soon to be step-brother. Nate connects with the last person he expected, Vanessa.
Hazel and Penelope try to recruit Nelly Yuki to be part of their club but it is not easy. Blair supervises the whole operation and hatches a plan to sabotage her biggest rival, Nelly Yuki. When Nelly breaks down after being reminded of her recent break-up with her boyfriend, the ladies find their way in and Nelly comes to the Waldorf penthouse. Then Blair invites the ex-boyfriend over.
Meanwhile Serena goes out with Georgina, but things get so bad that Serena thinks someone spiked her non alcoholic drink. Jenny develops a crush on a dog-walker, Asher Hornsby, who might be her ticket to permanent popularity.
EPISODE 16: "All About My Brother"
Georgina informs Serena that she can reveal a deep dark secret from Serena's past, but no one is prepared for what Georgina does next. Blair and Jenny's power struggle continues when each of them start spreading scandalous rumors about each other on Gossip Girl. Dan sees Jenny's new beau, Asher, cheating on her, but Jenny doesn't believe him. Rufus goes to Lily for advice on how to handle Jenny's new behavior. Serena tries to confront Georgina, but she leaves before Serena has a chance. After this Serena says that she and Georgina are not friends.
EPISODE 17: "Woman on the Verge"
Serena slips back into her old habits because she is ashamed of her secret. She eventually reveals it and her friends Blair, Nate and Chuck have to put their differences aside, in order to help her. Unfortunately, Serena is too ashamed to share the truth with Dan, therefore he assumes the worse about his girlfriend.
Meanwhile, Rufus is excited when his band is invited to perform at a Rolling Stone-sponsored concert, but Lily is the last person on earth he expects to see at the performance, especially since her wedding rehearsal dinner is the same night
EPISODE 18: "Much 'I Do' About Nothing"
Blair takes matters into her own hands to help Serena with the manipulative and evil Georgina Sparks. Lily, while keeping Rufus in her mind, prepares for her wedding with Bart Bass that is designed to be the Upper East Side's social event of the year.
Serena finally tells Dan the whole truth about her past and they try to work things but it might be too late?
An unexpected guest shows up at Lily and Bart's wedding. Georgina goes somewhere where she can do no harm. Blair plans to go somewhere with Chuck.
Season 2
EPISODE 1: "Summer, Kind of Wonderful"
Summer in the Hamptons!!! Serena and Nate fake their relationship as covers for Nate's affair with a married woman named Catherine Mason and Serena's mourning for her relationship with Dan. Blair returns with a new boyfriend James making Chuck jealous. Dan spent the summer assisting but leaves to see how things stand with Serena. Jenny interns for Eleanor's company and manages to sneak in to an exclusive white party with help from Eric who then introduces her socialite Tinsley Mortimer.
EPISODE 2: "Never Been Marcused"
The identity of Lord Marcus mother is revealed - which leaves our favorite Upper East Siders shocked. Nate and Serena get closer. Chuck and Lord Marcus begin an unexpected friendship and Blair makes a revelation.
EPISODE 3: "The Dark Night"
Serena and Dan are trapped in an elevator during a citywide blackout making them work out their differences. Marcus and Blair have problems of their own which is passion. While Chuck has problems in having no passion with women other than Blair. Nate struggles with his feelings for Vanessa and Catherine.
EPISODE 4: "The Ex Files"
Blair and her 'Posse' interview different girls to decide whether or not they would be inducted into their 'clique'. Dan bumps into new student Amanda and they form an instant bond however, Blair and her 'posse' attempt to sabotage Dan and Amanda's friendship by inducting her as the new girl in their 'clique' meanwhile, Serena meets a new lust interest and Vanessa meets with the Duchess.
EPISODE 5: "The Serena Also Rises"
Blair is furious with her mother for giving Serena and her new socialite friend, Poppy Lifton, front row seats to the Eleanor Waldorf show. Hurt by both Serena and her mother, Blair decides to sabotage the show.
Meanwhile, Dan starts hanging out with Chuck, but he quickly learns that the dark side has its risks. Lily learns a secret that her new husband, Bart has been keeping from her.
EPISODE 6: "New Haven Can Wait"
Blair, Serena, Dan, Nate and Chuck go to Yale. After Blair and Serena get into a fight, Serena decides to get even with Blair, who has always dreamed of going to Yale, by going to Yale instead of going to Brown as planned and accepting the Dean of Yale's private invitation to the campus. Dan discovers that none of his recommendation letters for Yale were sent, he tries to figure out a way of getting into the school. Also Chuck is kidnapped by a group of Skull and Bones members and Nate hooks up with a co-ed.
EPISODE 7: "Chuck In Real Life"
Vanessa tries to blackmail Blair into being a nicer person, with the pictures of Catherine and Marcus. Blair then seeks revenge by convincing Chuck to try to seduce Vanessa. Lily and Bart throw an extravagant housewarming party and expect their children to make them proud, but Serena does not want to follow the rules. Meanwhile, Dan and Jenny discover a big secret that Nate has been keeping from his friends.
EPISODE 8: "Pret-a-Poor-J"
Jenny has a new young model friend, Agnes, who encourages Jenny to explore her wild side and to confront Eleanor Waldorf, who is exploiting Jenny by stealing her designs with false promises to help launch her design career. Meanwhile, Serena and Dan attend Rufus' art opening as friends, but when Serena meets a cute artist, the evening takes an awkward turn. Blair attempts to seduce Chuck, but he proves to be tougher than she ever imagined.
EPISODE 9: "There Might Be Blood"
Serena invites Aaron to be her guest at a charity gala honoring Lily and Bart, but after discovering a secret that Aaron has been keeping from her, she begins to question whether Aaron is the guy she thought he was. Hoping it will help her chances of getting into Yale, Blair naívely agrees to babysit the 15-year-old daughter of a prominent Yale donor. Unfortunately, the teenager proves to be more than a handful, and Blair begins to suspect that the evening may actually wind up hurting her chances of getting into the college of her dreams. Meanwhile, Jenny and Agnes plan a guerilla fashion show that will either launch Jenny's star or ruin her chances of ever being accepted by the industry.
EPISODE 10: "Much 'I Do' About Nothing"
Blair is against the idea of her mother with Cyrus Rose, a new man in her life, and does everything in her power to make it impossible for them to be together. Jenny and Agnes move in together. Serena and Aaron fall for each other but something about Aaron threatens to ruin their new relationship. Dan and Chuck are at war due to Dan's true interest in his father Bart Bass.
EPISODE 11: "The Magnificent Archibalds"
It's Thanksgiving time and Blair is offended when her Mom's new man hijacks her Thanksgiving traditions. Lily attempts to strengthen the frail bond between Rufus and Jenny. Eric discovers a secret about Bart. Vanessa and Chuck help Nate deal with his father.
EPISODE 12: "It's a Wonderful Lie"
Chuck and Blair make a bet to choose the perfect date for each other for the annual Snowflake Ball. Lexi has her sights set on Dan leaving Serena confused with her feelings. Nate and Vanessa are forced to be together leaving their emotions and friendship in danger of being burnt.
EPISODE 13: "O Brother, Where Bart Thou?"
A sudden tragedy strikes the lives of every teen and parent on the Upper East Side.
EPISODE 14: "In The Realm of the Basses"
Because Chuck is MIA since his father's funeral, his Uncle Jack arrives on the Upper East Side to find and help him. Trying to forget her last conversation with Chuck, Blair focuses on being accepted into the most prestigious ladies club in the city, Colony Club. Jenny returns to Constance Billard and immediately takes on Penelope and her posse of mean girls, but no one is going down without a valiant Gossip Girl-worthy fight.
EPISODE 15: "Gone With the Will"
In the reading of Bart's will, Chuck, Bart's brother, Jack and Lily learn that Chuck is now the CEO of Bass Industries. Chuck agrees that Jack became his guardian.
Rufus and Lily's relationship is strained as Rufus searches for details about the child he never knew he had. Noticing the strange way his father has been acting lately, Dan does some investigating and uncovers Rufus and Lily's secret, and he has to decide now what to do and who to tell the shocking revelation.
EPISODE 16: "You've Got Yale!"
Who will get in the Ivy League institution of their choice? The students find out who is worthy of an early admission to Yale. Serena connects with a new Shakespeare teacher, who has no clue about what is going to happen when she gives Blair the first B grade in her life. Chuck pairs up with an unlikely ally in his battle over Bass Industries. Nate and Vanessa have a romantic night at the opera.
EPISODE 17: "Carrnal Knowledge"
Blair comes up with a devious plan to take down her new teacher, Rachel. Chuck has no recollection of what happened to him when he wakes up in a hotel. Nate and Vanessa try to help Chuck fill in the missing pieces of his night. Meanwhile Dan and Serena try to keep their relationship together as Rufus and Lily grow even closer.
EPISODE 18: "The Age of Dissonance"
The Constance Billard and St. Jude seniors have the production of "The Age of Innocence". Serena has a crush on the play's director, Julian, and enlists Vanessa's knowledge of theater to help her get the guy's attention. Blair receives bad news about her future that leads her on a witch-hunt for the person responsible. Dan and Rachel agree to stay away from each other in the aftermath of being discovered as more than teacher and student, but find it impossible to keep that promise. Chuck find help on an unlikely friend, Carter Baizen.
Chuck is dealing with his father's trouble past. Dan seems to have no grief from his break-up coming from his actions.
EPISODE 19: "The Grandfather"
Blair explores her dark side!!! Devastated by her current situations, Blair turns to her wild side, causing Serena and Chuck to have serious concerns about their friend. Vanessa convinces Nate that it may be time to forgive and forget when it comes to his mother's Kennedyesque family, The Vanderbilts, who abandoned Nate and his mother when they needed them most. In an effort to be completely honest with each other, Lily and Rufus agree to share lists of their past lovers.
EPISODE 20: "Remains of the J"
Jenny's kinda-not-sweet sixteen! Serena throws Jenny a small birthday party for her sweet sixteenth, but things get out of control when Poppy Lifton turns the birthday into a huge social event. Vanessa, in a moment of desperation, agrees to help Chuck with a scheme having to do with Blair and Nate. Meanwhile, Rufus tries to figure out how to cover Dan's Yale tuition, when he learns that Dan will not receive financial aid.
EPISODE 21: "Seder Anything"
Serena returns from her trip to Spain with Poppy and Gabriel. Blair makes a secret deal with Nate's grandfather. Dan takes a job to earn money for college.
EPISODE 22: "Southern Gentlemen Prefer Blondes"
Georgina returns to the Upper East Side but it's not the same Georgina we all knew, she's changed. Chuck and Nate relationship is at a crossroad because of their mutual interest in Blair. Serena relationship with Gabriel get's more complicated.
EPISODE 23: "The Wrath of Con"
Blair puts pressure on Georgina to making amends for her past bad behavior by helping her in an evil plan. The rivalry between Nate and Chuck over Blair reaches a boiling point. Lily makes a secret plan to help Rufus with Dan's college tuition.
EPISODE 24: "Valley Girls"
In a flashback to the 80s, we see a 17-year-old Lily who gets kicked out of boarding school and runs away to L.A., she there sees her parents, Rick and Cece, and her sister, Carol. Back in present day, Blair and Nate go to a prom together, but the night doesn't turn out as planned and Chuck has a something to do with it. Serena and Lily don't see eye-to-eye over Serena's recent run-in with the law. And we see No Doubt perform as an 80's band named "Snowed Out".
EPISODE 25: "The Goodbye Gossip Girl"
Gossip Girl decides to send a shocking email blast in the graduation ceremony of Constance Billard and St. Jude's, pushing Serena to device a devious plan of attack. The Mean Girls Club challenge Jenny to succeed Blair as Queen Bee for next year. Lily and Rufus struggle with their relationship after Lily's betrayal. As for the cliffhangers, Blair and Chuck finally...and Serena is shocked by...and Georgina decides to...and Dan, Nate and Vanessa unknowingly...
Season 3
EPISODE 1: "Reversals of Fortune"
As the summer ends, Blair and Chuck are madly in love and adjusting to their new "in a relationship" status, breaking all traditional rules of dating as would be expected. Serena returns from her European adventure with many secrets to hide and a complicated relationship with Carter Baizen. Nate returns from his travels with a mysterious brunette, Bree Buckley. Rufus, Dan and Jenny spent the summer in the Hamptons, adjusting to the Van Der Woodsen's glamorous lifestyle much faster than any of them expected.
EPISODE 2: "The Freshman"
Blair ends up with Georgina as as her roommate in the dorms at NYU. While Serena and Chuck come to blows, so she joins forces with Chuck's enemy, Carter. Nate and Bree try to take their relationship up a gear despite the animosity between their families.
EPISODE 3: "The Lost Boy"
It's a face-off between Chuck and Blair when they both want to bid on the same item at Sotheby's. Meanwhile, Serena suspects that Carter may have return to his old habits, while Georgina takes an interest in Dan, and Vanessa suspect something is not right with Scott.
EPISODE 4: "Dan de Fleurette"
It's Jenny's first day of school at Constance Billard which means it's her time to take her place as the new Queen Bee. But Blair wants to take her spotlight when she is needed back at Constance. Lily returns home to find that everything is different now. Meanwhile, a famous movie actress, Olivia Burke, enrolls in NYU and as Vanessa's new roomate who wants to have a normal college life. Tyra Banks guest stars as Ursula, a co-star in Olivia's movie and Serena's new friend.
EPISODE 5: "Rufus Getting Married"
Lily and Rufus move up their wedding day, but someone or something will come between them. Can they overcome this and finally get married? Chuck uncovers Carter's secret. Georgina traps Dan and Vanessa into one of her schemes. Blair suspect something not good about Bree and shares her concerns with Nate.
EPISODE 6: "Enough About Eve"
Vanessa desperately trying to have her mom's approval, teams up with Blair to do the honor of delivering the freshman toast at NYU, but what will be the price she has to pay? Dan takes Olivia to meet Rufus and Lily, which leads to all sorts of problems for the new couple. Meanwhile, Serena and Nate team up to help Carter Baizen.
EPISODE 7: "How to Succeed in Bassness"
Looking for publicity for his new hotel, Chuck moves his club's opening and convinces Serena to assist him in getting the word out. Feeling left out, Blair tries to win Chuck's approval by secretly helping him with a problem concerning the opening night. Meanwhile, Dan get's nervous after watching one of Olivia's infamous sex scenes with her co-star and real-life boyfriend during that time, Patrick Robinson. Jenny is forced to choose between Eric and her new role as Queen Bee, which as a result causes major conflict between the two characters.
